This autumn a series of nine Saturday events will be taking place at Speakers’ Corner.
Each event will feature at least two members of the Speakers’ Corner Steering Committee talking on topical issues, as well as encouraging members of the public with something to say, to say it on Speakers’ Corner!
So, if you’ve got something to get off your chest, make sure you are in Dam Street at Speakers’ Corner from 12noon at one or all of the following dates
Saturdays in October: 22nd & 29th
Saturdays in November: 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th
Saturdays in December: 3rd, 10th, 17th
See you there!

Will each week be on a particular theme or issue? If so, will you be publishing a list in advance?
For those of us who are Michael Fabricant’s Facebook friends, Michael gives us an opportunity to rant on a regular basis by posting something once a week or so. It might be a good idea to ask MF to publicise this via Facebook – there are plenty of opinionated people who comment upon his posts…

Can you please publish a full list of rules for use of speakers corner.
Is it the same as the one at Marble Arch in London where anyone can put down a soapbox and orate on any subject without fear of arrest or persecution (other than heckling of course)?
Are any subjects taboo?
Can anyone step up when it’s not pre-booked?
Can politicians be lampooned?
Can religion be promoted or vilified?
Are jokes permissible?
Can Good Causes make pleas?
etc, etc,
What are the restrictions?
